Peter S. DeLuca,
MD, FCCP
Peter
S. DeLuca, MD graduated from New York Medical College and
completed his residency in Internal Medicine at SUNY Stony
Brook University Hospital. He subsequently completed a specialty
fellowship in Pulmonary Medicine at the Albert Einstein College
of Medicine.
In 1983, Dr Deluca established a private practice
in Huntington, NY. He has been an active member of the Huntington
Hospital staff and has held several prominent positions,
including Chief of the subsection of Pulmonary Medicine and
representative to the medical board. In addition, he served
for many years as Chairman of the Department of Medicine at
Huntington Hospital (1995-2002).
Dr. DeLuca has over twenty years of experience
in all aspects of Pulmonary Medicine. He has a special interest
in Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing
and has received training in this valuable technique from
world-renowned experts in the field.
Dr Deluca is board certified in Internal
Medicine, Critical Care and Pulmonary Medicine.

William F.
Knaupp, MD, FCCP
William
F. Knaupp, M.D. graduated from SUNY Downstate Medical Center
and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Long Island
Jewish Medical Center. He continued his training at Long Island
Jewish Medical Center with a three year fellowship in pulmonary
and critical care medicine.
Immediately upon completion of his training
in 1991, Dr Knaupp joined the practice and has worked together
with Dr Deluca to provide expert pulmonary care to the Huntington
community.
Dr Knaupp is a Fellow of the American College
of Chest Physicians. He provides outpatient treatment of asthma,
COPD, sleep apnea, pulmonary fibrosis, lung cancer and other
conditions. In addition, he is on staff at Huntington Hospital,
where he provides inpatient and critical care services for
his patients. He interacts on a personal level with each patient
and is committed to providing optimum care.
Dr Knaupp is board certified in Internal
Medicine, Critical Care and Pulmonary Medicine.

Lakshmi Kumari
Yella, M.D.
Lakshmi Yella, M.D., graduated from Guntur Medical College,
Guntur, AP, India. She completed a medical residency and her
pulmonary fellowship at Coney Island Hospital, Brooklyn, New
York. She then went on to a fellowship in critical care medicine
at Maimonides Medical Center.
Dr. Yella has contributed to many publications in the field
of pulmonary and critical care medicine. She has numerous
articles published in the American Journal of Respiratory
and Critical Care Medicine, the Journal of Critical Care Medicine
and Chest. Dr. Yella is on staff at Huntington Hospital where
she provides all phases of pulmonary and critical care medicine.
She is also available for Pulmonary consultations in our Huntington
office.
Her pulmonary expertise and caring treatment of patients
is a welcome addition to Huntington Pulmonary.
Dr. Yella is Board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary
Medicine, and Critical Care Medicine.
Robbin Friedberg ANP-C
Robbin
Friedberg ANP-C, Nurse Practitioner, is a graduate of the
Adelphi University School of Nursing. She served on the staff
of the Northshore-LIJ Health System from 1982-1997. She is
an experienced medical- surgical nurse with excellent interpersonal
skills.
In addition to her solid background, Robbin obtained a Master
of Science degree from SUNY Stony Brook School of Nurse Practitioner’s
and is now a board certified Nurse Practitioner. Upon graduation,
Robbin worked as a Nurse Practitioner in the PreSurgical testing
department at Northshore-LIJ and St. Catherine’s Hospital.
She is an adjunct Professor in the undergraduate and graduate
Nurse Practitioner Program at Long Island University, CW Post.
Since 1999, Robbin has been a welcome and valued addition
to Huntington Pulmonary, collaborating with Dr. DeLuca and
Dr. Knaupp in providing patients with optimum care. She is
a member of numerous professional organizations and is involved
in Huntington's Nurse Practitioner Journal Club.
Robbin Friedberg is a board certified Nurse Practitioner.
